  • With The Narcosis Collection currently being printed, we have turned our attention to our next collection. The above image is little preview of our new work, which is due to be released, along with the rest of the collection, in 2014. With so much going on right now, it’s been great sitting down with Faye discussing new ideas and directions. We tend to look through a lot of research material on our own, so when we bring it all together the results are often surprising. We are both very excited about the coming months and with so many ideas we have found ourselves working on several pieces at once.

  • Out Latest Photoshoot

In anticipation of the official release of The Narcosis Collection, we have been busy shooting for our new Lookbook. We are lucky to be working with a small group of fantastic models as well as a great photographer, and with the recent good weather we’ve had a chance to spend some time outside. To ensure that our look remains authentic, we have been focusing on locations in and around North London including Hampstead and Hornsey. We can’t stay away from black buildings either! Above are two shots from a recent session taken to showcase our new range of women’s scoopneck T-shirts.

  • We thought it was about time that we threw some birds back into the mix, so here is our latest release; Silk and Swallows. Faye and I have been looking at a lot of religious engravings recently as well as painting of saints. The subject of religious iconography has always interested us and, in an aesthetic sense, it has always bled into our own work. The representation of Death in western religious art ranges from comforting to absolutely terrifying, so it’s always a good place to start looking for inspiration. We hope to touch on this subject again in future works, but for now we have fallen for witchcraft and sorcery!

  • We have now started work on our custom shirt for the renowned tattoo artist Clod the Ripper. We have been working with Clod since 2012 and we have some great shots of him promoting our clothing.

2013 is his thirteenth year of tattooing and to mark the occasion we are producing a ’13 Years Behind the Needle’ custom Ripper shirt. The idea came from our shared love of the macabre and the parallels between his art form and the murders of the original Ripper in 1888, which both focus around the indelible marking of the flesh. There are references to both tattooing and Victorian England, which truly make this a La Mort/Clod piece. We will post the final inked artwork when it is complete, but for now here is a little preview of the work in progress.

  • HBAD in Brighton

At this year’s Brighton Tattoo Convention, we were lucky enough to meet Brad Cowan from HBAD. Teaming up with Magnum Opus Barbers, he spent the weekend cutting vintage styles for visitors to the convention. Above are some shots of Brad wearing our Self-beheading Woman t-shirt.

  • This year we attended the Brighton Tattoo Convention, being held at the Brighton Hilton, and with the list of artists and traders in attendance, it promised to be a great weekend. Friday was spent travelling to the show and setting up our stand, which by the evening looked really sharp. On display were our range of t-shirts and hoodies, a selection of vests and tote bags, and our new screenprinted posters. I had a lot of help setting up, for which I am very grateful, and by the end of the day a few beers and some pizza were well deserved.

Saturday got off to a great start and, as usual, Faye led the way in attending to our customers, while I wandered round looking at the artists at work! Being situated so close to the bar helped. It’s surprisingly tiring being on your feet all day and you’d think we’d be used to it after Camden. Sunday was also a great day, with a lot of people visiting our stand including traders, artists and members of the public. We would like to thank Woody and his guys for putting on a fantastic show.
